Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 January 2026

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly: your email address when you create an account, and the bookmarks, tags, notes, and topics you save within the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the Service — to authenticate your account, store your bookmarks, and personalise your experience. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use a session token stored in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

5. Browser Extensions

The Linkoteka browser extensions (Chrome and Firefox) store your authentication token locally on your device using the browser's extension storage API. The extensions access the URL and title of the current tab only when you explicitly click "Bookmark Current Page". No browsing history is collected or transmitted.

6. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services (such as payment processors) that have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account will remove all your data from our servers.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice within the Service.

9. Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us through the Service.
